limits

Workouts are written for 3 different levels. You are not confined to any single group. A strong swimmer may swim with group A, but bike & run with group B. A strong runner may run and bike with group A but swim with group C.

Group A: Experienced

  • Athletes with experience/background and a high level of fitness. To train with this group you should be comfortable with the following speeds. Swimming 1:20-1:30 pace per 100 yards, Biking 18-22 mph avg for 1-2 hours, Running 6:30-7:30 per mile for 7+miles

Group B: Moderate

  • Athletes with some experience/background and a moderate level of fitness. To train with this group you should be comfortable with the following speeds. Swimming 1:30-2:00 pace per 100 yards, Biking 15-19 mph avg for 1-2 hours, Running 7:30-9:00 per mile for 5+miles

Group C: Novice

  • Athletes with any level of experience/background and a high degree of enthusiasm. Anyone is welcome to train with this group, but it is recommended the speed demons train with groups 1 or 2 unless they can go steady & encourage fellow group 3 athletes.
