Start at the northwest corner (same place every year) of the ARC fields. For the first lap, run clockwise around the fields.
Join the paved path and go down the ramp, staying on the right side.
Continue and merge onto the left side of the service road until California.
Turn left to go up the dirt on the sidewalk of California, then turn left staying on the dirt along Anteater.
Turn left into the nature preserve area. This will be marked with a cone, and we will have volunteers directing athletes.
Exit trail by Shadetree nursery, then turn right and continue up the right side of the ramp.
Turn right onto the path in the center of the ARC fields, and follow it up and go up the ramp to Arroyo.
Turn left onto Arroyo sidewalk.
Turn left onto the path by Camino del Sol.
Follow the path back to ARC (keep to the left).
Turn left up the sidewalk ramp.
Follow the ramp back up to ARC fields.
Repeat steps 2-10 (don’t run around the ARC fields this time).
Turn left onto the service road (not the sidewalk/ramp)
Finish
Triathlon run finish: continue into transition and on to bike
5k run finish: turn right into the pool area and cross finish there
*The 5k race will follow the same run course as the reverse triathlon.

All biking will be performed on the “right side of the (closed portion of the) road”
Exit the transition area on the north side of the service road. Stay to the right.
Make a sharp right into the BIKE LANE of California Ave. Stay to the right of the cones.
Continue down California Ave. to the California Ave./Adobe Cir. intersection.
U-turn (toward the left) then proceed northbound up California Ave. on the right side of the “southbound lane”. Stay to the right of the cones.
Turn right onto Anteater Dr. and proceed westbound in the “westbound lane”. Stay to the right of the cones.
Turn right onto E. Peltason Rd. and proceed northbound in the “southbound lane”.
You will turn onto the “opposite” side of the median from normal traffic flow, but remain on the right side of the cones.
Turn left onto Pereira Dr. and proceed westbound in the “westbound lane” (normal traffic flow). Stay to the right.
Proceed until the flagpole area (just past Lot 2), and then turn left into the flagpole area, counterclockwise.
Turn right onto Pereira Dr. and proceed eastbound in the “eastbound lane” (normal traffic flow).
Turn right onto E. Peltason Rd. and proceed southbound in the “southbound lane”. Stay to the right of the cones.
Turn left onto Anteater Dr. and proceed eastbound in the “westbound lane”. Stay to the right of the cones.
Turn left onto California Ave. and proceed northbound in the “southbound lane.” Stay to the right of the cones.
As you approach the California Ave./Adobe Cir. intersection to U-turn, please be aware of slower bikes entering the flow of bike traffic. Stay in the middle lane of cones.
Repeat steps 4-13 three more times (total: 4 laps).
Proceed northbound on California Ave. all the way to the California Ave./Adobe Cir. intersection and turn right onto the south side of the service road.
Continue into transition and onto the swim portion of the race.
Enter the pool area at the northeast gate.
Jump into or enter the pool at the northeast corner feet first (no diving!).
Swim one length of the pool, touch the wall, and then proceed under the lane line to do your next lap in the opposite direction (no flip turns!).
Repeat until you reach the northwest corner of the pool (10 laps total).
Exit the pool, and then follow the cones to the finish line.
