2024-25 Practice Schedule
Below are the key sessions each day in a typical weekly schedule during the school year (subject to change). If you can’t make it to practice, but still want to do the workout, it is easy to find friends on the team to do the workout with later or earlier in the day. The actual training plan will be posted in the #team-training-plan Slack channel, which you will be added to once you have paid team dues. Our winter training is race specific with hard blocks in between races and easier weeks leading up to them. We will also add open water swims, brick workouts, and transition practice throughout the season (posted on Slack).
Equipment:
Strength Training: Yoga mat & resistance bands if you have them
Pool Swims: Goggles, swim cap (optional)
Open Water Swims: Goggles, swim cap (optional), wet suit (optional)
Spin Rides: The spin bikes work with spd cleats, however running shoes work great! (Helmet not needed)
Bike Ride: Bike, HELMET (if you do not have a helmet you can not ride), lights if riding in the dark
Runs: Shoes!
Are Practices Mandatory?
Most practices are not mandatory; however, we encourage everyone to attend Monday strength training, Tuesday spin, and Wednesday track practice. You must attend one of these three sessions as a competitive member since they are when we will be making announcements. If you have class or another conflict, please talk with an officer. We’re super flexible! Our goal is to ensure we are able to train as a team and grow our community.
What is Bike Camp?
Bike Camp is much more than just bikes, it is bikes, burritos, bonking, and so much team bonding. Every year we hold a training camp for our team members in which we go out as a team and train together. Stay tuned for more announcements about this year's Bike Camp!
